Industry and Tourism
i) Are industry and tourism related to geography and climate?
Yes,  most of the tourism activities in Nepal take place outdoors so therefore, certain seasons determine the amount of tourism in those regions. Most of the activities take place in the Himalayas or hill region. Some safari's take place in the rainforest region as well, which would depend on heavy precipitation seasons. The juice and fabrics Nepal exports would depend on the prosperity of crops in different seasons.

Cultural Activities
i) Are there any notable historical events that add to the climate/culture story?
The birth of the nation is dated to Prithvi Narayan Shah's conquest of the Kathmandu Valley kingdoms in 1768. (Everyculture.com) The Shah's conquest originally called for a territory twice the size of modern Nepal, however territorial battles with China and Britain in the 17th century made it back to what it is today. This heavily effects climate, because with the old borders there would have been different environments and climates all together.

Sacred Hindu and Buddhist places and the unique mountains draw tourists and pilgrims . Other natural resources, such as rivers and flora and fauna are a source of national importance. (everyculture.com)
